Learning

Outline

Leadership is designed for 13–15-year-olds who want to develop the confidence, mindset, and skills to lead effectively—both now and in the future. Students will explore key leadership theories, the challenges leaders face, and how leadership can be used as a force for positive change. They’ll learn how to build a vision, motivate others, and lead with empathy and purpose. The course also focuses on personal growth—helping students understand their own strengths and how to bring out the best in themselves and others. We don’t follow a fixed curriculum—our tutors tailor the course to the group’s interests, making each experience meaningful and relevant. The course also includes a masterclass on skills like teamwork and collaboration, as well as a reflection session to review personal goals and progress.

Teaching methodology

Learning in a small group (no more than 8 students and often fewer) means that you get quality time with your teacher and ask as many questions as you like! Through interactive learning, our teachers will guide you through new concepts and assign you practice tasks to build your knowledge and skills. You will also have an opportunity for group work, independent research, and homework assignments to be discussed in class. Small classes mean everyone gets to have their say, and students learn from debating with one another, as well as from their tutor.

The ǶƵ experience

Get ready to lead with confidence and purpose. On our Leadership course for ages 13–15, your child will explore what it means to be a leader — from building self-awareness and communication skills to understanding teamwork, decision-making, and influence. They'll learn how to lead with empathy, think strategically, and adapt to challenges. With no fixed curriculum, students are encouraged to share their goals and interests when they apply, and our expert tutors will shape the course around their ambitions wherever possible.

In small groups of no more than 8 students (and often fewer), they’ll receive individual attention and plenty of space to contribute. Lessons are interactive and discussion-led, combining practical tasks with personal reflection, case studies, and group projects. Dedicated study sessions are included in the timetable to help consolidate learning, with on-course staff available for support.

Outside of lessons, students take part in a full enrichment programme — from group socials and city excursions to a formal graduation ceremony and disco. It’s a summer that encourages growth, connection, and the confidence to take initiative.
